SIMATIC HMI is the Siemens line of operator panels for machine-level operation and monitoring. The panels show process values, alarms and trends and let operators enter setpoints and commands; they connect to SIMATIC controllers, typically over PROFINET.
The line ranges from basic panels for simple visualization tasks to comfort panels with larger widescreen displays and extended functions, plus mobile panels for operation directly at the machine. The current Unified generation is configured with WinCC Unified in TIA Portal.
