SIMATIC ET 200
Siemens distributed I/O systems that connect sensors and actuators to the controller over PROFINET or PROFIBUS — inside the cabinet or directly on the machine.
SIMATIC ET 200 is the Siemens family of distributed I/O systems. Instead of wiring every signal back to a central cabinet, I/O stations are placed close to the process and connected to the controller over PROFINET or PROFIBUS, which reduces wiring and makes extensions easier.
The family includes systems for installation in a control cabinet (IP20), rugged IP65/67 systems mounted directly on the machine, and versions for process automation and hazardous areas.
